Rapid test for detecting SARS-CoV-2 antigen (method of colloidal gold) is used for quick and qualitative detection of severe acute respiratory syndrome of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus present in human’s naso-oropharyngeal swabs by the rapid test method in 15-20 minutes. It’s a rapid COVID-19 diagnostic method on the early stages of the disease by the immunochromatographic assay method. Immunochromatographic assay (ICA) is the qualitative analysis based on the reaction between antigen (substance that is defined as foreign by the body) and antibody in human biological material corresponding to it. Investigating by means of ICA reveals viral protein recognized by human immune system. Rapid test is done according to the procedure similar to PCR-tests when the swab is taken from the nasal or oral mucosa with the help of cotton ball.
